At the Hole in the Wall, we use fresh British produce of local provenance including the finest farm assured cuts of meat to create delicious food that will warm your soul. The charm of our pub and the friendliness of our wait staff would all be nothing, if the food we serve was not impeccable.

To ensure that the food we deliver is always of the highest quality, we work hard to consistently use the freshest of ingredients which we procure from local markets, butcheries and fishmongers of Cambridgeshire and Norfolk. When you've tried one of our succulent fillet steak or sampled our melt in your mouth marinated lamb rump, you'll attest to the quality of the food that we serve.

Our Chef

Our  Chef  Nilesh Misquitta (neil) , has more than twenty five years  of experience serving food around the world. After working in various restaurants in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and onboard the Queen Elizabeth II, Neil settled in Cambridge in 2011 with his wife Agnes and decided to open his first Freehouse. It was here that Neil purchased the Elm Tree Inn and fulfilled his lifelong ambition to own and operate a pub and restaurant along with his wife. Here, he served excellent food by using slow cooking techniques to accentuate flavours and textures. Neil and his team were soon recognised for their efforts and received a number of awards including:

Our menu features a range of British favourites and staples with an extra twist every Sunday. Sourced from local markets, we pride ourselves on the freshness and quality of the food that we serve.
